As a New York site, I feel it’s important that I open things up here to people who can’t communicate because of the telecommunications problems that we’re having here. So please, feel free to click on the little Discuss link, and post whatever you need to; use it for messages to each other, words of inspiration, whatever. Fill up my hard disk; I don’t care. Spread the word, too.

My heart goes out to all those who have loved ones who have been hurt or killed today; words cannot convey how I am feeling right now.

I am sitting here at home in ireland and am amazed at the horror and wanton waste of lives that this has caused and will continue to cause for the near future.

I think that whoever is there has a civic duty to do whatever they can to help and whether it is giving a pint of blood ar helping with the clean up then they need to get on with it.

If there is anything hat we can do to help then keep us posted

my friend Carolyn Clowes just called from Louisville—-she has a friend who works near and sometimes IN the World Trade Center—-all phone lines are down. Please, if anyone who reads this has seen MARY ELLEN MATHEWS (yes, that’s only one T in Mathews) and knows for sure she’s okay, please leave a note here & I’ll call Caroline & tell her.
Thanks.

Carolyn Clowes has heard from MARY ELLEN MATHEWS; she’s okay. I hope anybody else who’s searching for a missing friend today finds him or her alive and well. Thanks for opening this up.
