Yesterday, my new sofa arrived, and setting it up in my second bedroom set into motion a grand plan to move all my computers into the room as well, officially making it my study. When the work was all done, a computer closet was created, and I reached the pinnacle of my geekdom. (For those viewing the picture, that’s the MetaFilter server on the right, my Linux box in the middle, and my Win2K server on the left.)

How much bandwidth do you get into your place, anyway? :)

I liked your computer closet. I am setting up a digital audio studio and need to quiet the room. I want to put my computer (AMD 900) in the closet and get rid of some of the annoying fan noises. In the summer I’m worried that it might not get proper cooling, even though the room is A/C. Do you think this is a problem? I’ve never had any overheating problems before. The closet is about 2’x8’ with bi-fold doors.
