It’s funny — I’ve found myself convincing more people recently about how much cleaner the Hudson River is than they think, and then today, the New York Times went and gave me some cold, hard facts! I love when that happens, and I’d love even more if someone managed to build a beach on the Hudson shore.

Yep, we in Chicago understand what you’re missing, with beaches up and down the lakefront! Mine’s a ten minute walk away (though usually I go late, to sit on the rocks and listen to the surf).

Too bad that the currents would still make it dangerous. Seems if they can build marinas, they can also create protected lagoons for human recreation.
